Lake Mountain is Australia's premier cross country skiing and snow play resort. With an altitude of 1480 metres above sea level, Lake Mountain is the closest resort to Melbourne which achieves the consistent snow. Lake Mountain averages up to 12 weeks of excellent snow conditions per season.

The best snow is normally in July and August. Conditions are variable.
